I am so happy with how SUGAR turned out ! The head was in sad shape when I found her at the flea market but I knew she could be part of a fabulous creation.
I used the sugarbcookie tin for the perfect body and the tea tin for her "skirt". I finely found a use for an antique lace collar fragment that I have had for years! Her bonnet is a teacup with millenary flowers , a tiny brass flat hand and silk ribbon .I added a little frozen charlotte doll in one hand and in the other is a prism and a key hanging from silk ribbon. Her brooch has old jewelry bits surrounding a tiny antique frame with a gentleman's photo . Her belt is a snippet of old lace with a beautiful floral buckle . Her earrings are tiny gold buillon doll buttons !
Just for fun I added a vintage spun cotton bird in a teacup .The bird of course is wearing button hat and has a tiny heart around his neck .
Please note , the rub on her face was there when I found her and I just left it alone !
17 " tall Signed and dated .
I create my assemblages from a myriad assortments of parts that seek out at flea markets, estate sales and every place in between . I use and repurpose all found bits and pieces and try to only use glue from the store ! Enjoy !
