Standing 10" tall and 8" wide, it holds its contents with the quiet authority of something that has been keeping its own counsel for a very long time.
Inside: a Victorian-era original photograph of a solemn little girl, a genuine antique baby shoe blooming with French beaded flowers and velvet millinery leaves, a small antique metal lamb, mother-of-pearl buttons, delicate antique lace, 19th-century book pages, and a pair of tiny doll shoes presiding over the whole affair from above. The background layers antique ephemera and the soft wreckage of old text.
