This assemblage builds its own small kingdom from the ground up: three wise monkeys keeping counsel at the base, a pride of lions ascending toward a finial throne, and the vintage Monarch Cocoa tin holding court at the center. A Scrabble tile makes its quiet declaration. A chain keeps things just contained enough.
Everything here knows its place in the hierarchy. The lion always gets the lion's share.

Found objects include a vintage Monarch Cocoa tin, plastic and celluloid lion figures, cast figures of the three wise monkeys, wooden chess piece atop an oil tin finial, iron wheel draped with cuckoo clock chain.Base is scrap wood from an old coffee grinder with tinker toy feet .Scrabble tile and mixed hardware. One of a kind.
