Dog Assemblage,Upclycled Model Train,Junk, Found Object Sculpture, Steampunk Whimsical, Railroad Art LIONEL
LIONEL #6 ,He is chugging down the tracks with his farm yard friends! I repurposed a vintage Lionel train car with a added boxer dog head shaker . The cow was a creamer, the chicken another shaker. A sweet figurine is on the rear and a wee dog under the cow. Up front is a celluloid goose.
I create all my assemblages and mixed media art from bits and pieces I lovingly find at flea markets and estate sales. I love being able to repurpose broken pieces of the past into whimsical new art.
My favorite era id the Victorian times from children's books,toys,clothing to ephemera.But sometimes I stray into steampunk and more colorful vintage styles of assemblages.I just hope whatever I create makes someone smile!
