Not sure why I put a doll head on a vintage food dicer but I love the way she turned out . Her head is from a vintage doll that I saved from an estate sale. Her hat is a tin doll cup filled with colorful millenary fruit. The base is a repurposed game board.I added lots of interesting bits and baubles to accent and embellish this kitschy assemblage sculpture.
I create all my assemblages and mixed media art from bits and pieces I lovingly find at flea markets and estate sales. I love being able to repurpose broken pieces of the past into whimsical new art.
My favorite era id the Victorian times from children's books,toys,clothing to ephemera.But sometimes I stray into steampunk and more colorful vintage styles of assemblages.I just hope whatever I create makes someone smile!
