PENNY ROSE ~ Art Doll Assemblage, Antique China Doll Head Paired With Metal Toy Bank,Victorian , Whimsical, Steampunk
This sweet gal was so much fun to create ! I loved this china doll head that a friend gave me and knew I wanted to create something special with her! I found an antique metal bank at an estate sale that was broken and used it for her body.....quirky but I love it.
The clothing was hand sewn from a deconstructed vintage cabbage rose fabric quilt top that I was able to salvedge. Other fabrics came from a worn doll dress with added vintage lace trims . The beautiful black floral ribbon is from a stash of antique trims. A great brass key hangs from the bow.Her head piece was created from a pressed brass drawer pull,velvet ribbon,millenary flowers and beautiful glass beads . I used a wired string of glass beads to add to her hands.

I create my assemblages from a myriad assortments of parts that seek out at flea markets, estate sales and every place in between . I use and repurpose all found bits and pieces and try to only use glue from the store ! Enjoy !
